Amy and the Origami Man
This is the promotional poster for a picture book I illustrated in 2010. The book has a central theme of friendship and deals with the issues of loneliness and fears and how to overcome them using the power of the imagination. The friendship is between a little girl called Amy and the 'Origami Man' who is an ex-carnival performer. Both characters soon discover that they have a lot in common; they are both lonely, inhibited by fears but are also highly creative. By working together and through the powers of their creativity and imagination, they manage to overcome their fears and reach their full potential. Two illustrations from the book were chosen for the New Talent section of the AOI Images Annual 2011
